A Letter From Our President

Welcome to the website for Zeta Tau Alpha at Florida State University! My name is Daylee Puca and I am honored to be serving as this year’s Beta Gamma president. Thank you for taking the time to see what makes our chapter so special. The Beta Gamma chapter of ZTA prides itself on diversity, humility, and love. Even with over 250 members in our chapter, I know that I can call on anyone for advice, support, or encouragement. Going through formal recruitment I never imagined that a chapter could have such an impact on someone's life, and to say that I am grateful to serve as president is an understatement.

Being women in ZTA, we strive to maintain a strong relationship with Panhellenic. Florida State's Greek Community prides itself on being one of the most well-rounded and involved communities at Florida State. You’ll find members of all 4 Greek Councils involved in every aspect of campus life. Aside from being a part of FSU’s Greek community, we also maintain a strong presence on Florida State’s campus. Our chapter requires 100% involvement, meaning that aside from being in Zeta Tau Alpha, every member must be involved in an on-campus organization. These range from Student Government, Panhellenic Executive Council, Student Councils, academic fraternities, and sports clubs.

Although we love doing service for the Tallahassee community and on FSU’s campus, our philanthropy is one we each hold close to our hearts. Our national philanthropy is Breast Cancer Education and Awareness, and we are partnered with the NFL, Think Pink and the American Cancer Society.  Zeta Tau Alpha holds one of FSU’s largest Greek philanthropy events, having raised over $115,000 during the fall semester alone. I cannot begin to describe why this cause is so important to our chapter, and I am ecstatic to see how much more money we raise in the upcoming year.

I hope you find everything you need on our website and decide to learn more about our chapter. If you are going through formal recruitment I encourage you to stay positive. It is not an easy week, but when you step back and look around, you will understand the bigger picture of it all. Find people who inspire you to be better, who encourage you to serve your community, and who share the values most important to you. Take every opportunity you are given, and never take anything for granted. We wish you the best and hope to see you in the fall.
